Jonathan Freeman, Toronto Office
Jonathan Freeman is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate law including financings, acquisitions, dispositions, property development, public/private infrastructure projects and commercial leasing.
Deborah Glatter, Toronto Office
Deborah Glatter joined Cassels Brock in 1999 and is the Director of Practice Excellence – Advancement and Career Development. Her mandate is to ensure that our associates receive the training, feedback, quality and variety of work necessary to advance their career, bearing in mind each associate’s individual career development goals.
Jennifer Hansen, Vancouver Office
Jennifer Hansen is an associate in the Securities Group working out of both the Toronto and Vancouver offices. Jennifer represents both issuers and investment dealers in various transactions, including public offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions.
Stefanie Holland, Toronto Office
Stefanie Holland is an associate practising in our Litigation Group. She was a summer and articling student at Cassels Brock prior to joining the firm as an associate. Stefanie has significant experience in numerous areas of law including product liability, franchise litigation, contract disputes, copyright and trademark infringement and injunctions.
Shaun Khullar, Toronto Office
Shaun Khullar is an associate in the Securities Group. He practises corporate and securities law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Shaun has experience acting on behalf of acquiring and target companies in connection with asset purchase transactions and public and private share purchase transactions.
Shannon Leo, Toronto Office
Shannon Leo is the Director of Practice Excellence - Associate and Student Programs, at Cassels Brock. In this role, she has the pleasure of recruiting, training and reviewing the performance of associates and students. Shannon is involved with coaching associates and students on performance, practice management and risk management and identifying and developing training and development opportunities for them.
Matthew Nied, Vancouver Office
Matthew Nied is an associate in the Vancouver office practising in insolvency and commercial litigation.
Matthew's insolvency practice focuses on commercial restructuring, receiverships and bankruptcy proceedings, while his commercial litigation practice focuses on shareholder and securities litigation, corporate arrangements, contractual disputes and tort claims. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Matthew practised at another national firm prior to joining Cassels Brock and clerked for several judges of the Supreme Court of British Columbia prior to commencing practice.
Matthew regularly publishes articles identifying legal developments and their practical implications for industry stakeholders.
Carla Potter, Toronto Office
Carla Potter is an associate in our Financial Services Group. Her practice focuses on corporate financing matters, representing both lenders and borrowers involved in domestic and cross-border lending transactions and corporate reorganizations.
Derek Ronde, Toronto Office
Derek Ronde is a partner in our Litigation Group, and has a wide-ranging corporate-commercial litigation practice. He has significant experience in a multitude of areas including class proceedings, franchise litigation, product liability, securities litigation, employment litigation, contract disputes, regulatory investigations and injunctions.
Jennifer Wasylyk, Toronto Office
Jennifer Wasylyk is an associate in the Financial Services Group. Her practice focuses on corporate finance matters, representing both borrowers and lenders in a variety of secured and unsecured lending transactions. In addition, Jennifer’s experience includes general corporate and reorganization matters.
